How It Works:
ONBOARD® utilizes a two-stage system where first, the ONBOARDsup>® particle filter with a dual-glass element removes particulates as small as 1 micron, .The particle-free oil then enters the second stage upper chamber where the patented ECVD (Evaporation Convection Vacuum Dehydration) process evaporates, burns and/or expels unspent fuel and water vapor, essentially using the engine to refine dirty engine oil. The fact is, oil never wears out or loses its lubricity (its ability to lubricate engine parts). It simply gets contaminated with particulates and fluids that damage the engine.
ONBOARDsup>® ECVD mitigates these and other problems, while reducing waste oil and exhaust vapors — a very friendly environmental benefit. The only periodic maintenance, (regarding your oil), that’s needed is changing the oil filter (about as hard as changing a light bulb) and occasionally topping off engine oil.
